WEDDING FESTIVAL

first of all,
this blogpost is specially dedicated to my besties who's going to get married soon..

next year in 2014, 3 of my best friends are getting married..
and the funny thing is, they set the wedding on the same month..!
(hopefully they don't have the exact day for the party)

not in a hurry,
a bit of direction and composing..

maybe he's the type of photographer who blends with the subject.. capturing all the details in stealth mode,
and i guess that's what makes his pictures are so beautiful and intimate..

THAT BIGBOARD ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO KARAWACI

Finally I got a chance to produce a Billboard Photoshoot which I know where the location of the billboard is.. =)

Long story short,
I have a friend who's building and developing an Apartment site,
His name is Echal, my college friend back in Malaysia.

He simply ask me to produce 3 designs for his new Billboard slot, to promote the Apartment.
The Medina Apartment,
it is located at Karawaci, and so the billboard is also located in the same area, just on the side of the highway to Karawaci.

Since it's gonna be put on the street, away from people..
so we decided to just use my 5D mark3 Canon with 22.3 Megapixels.. it should be enough,


finally I can use my full megapixel of my beloved camera..
RAW is coming baby..! Raaawrrr..!
4 metersssss time 8 meterssssss..!

REFLECTIONS AND MAGIC BALLS

when I looked at these series of pictures from Moscow-based Russian photographer Mariya-Luiza..

with title 'Reflections and Magic Balls'

the first thing on my mind was the scene from movie 'Ender's Game'

Ender Wiggin smiled when Harrison Ford came in Horizontal (floating)

because in space, there's no rules of horizontal and vertical axis..

it's up to us to choose which plane as our baseground

as these pictures are playing with our perception of horizontal and vertical flipped in a glassware

then i contemplate.. perhaps I'm just the reflection of something way bigger than myself.. 
without any preferences of good and evil,
contained in a glass which I called 'mind'

SEPTEMBER SHOOT

Just realize,
I didn't post anything last August..!

well anyway,
moving on to this post.. behind the shots of last monday photoshoot.

For this session, the client is still the undefeated.. Roppongi Papa..!
and here i collaborate with 2 of my ex-students.. Vizzya and Bianca

there's always a good feeling when you can work with someone you know well already..
last time i collaborate was with my ex-roommate Freddy, and now.. my ex-students
=)

just how time goes really fast,
one time I was in a class teaching them how to develop an idea,
and last monday we were on the same location working on the same project..!

I just can't stop smiling knowing that one day..
I might collaborate with my own kids
=)

*damn I love my job..!

THE MAKING OF - TERSENYUMLAH (part 2)

Hi people..!

Moving on from the 1st day shooting of Alit Jiwandana's debut single 'TERSENYUMLAH'..
now I will post updates from the 2nd day..!

the weather was surprisingly (and strangely) very supportive..!
the cloud was heavy, but still with lots of light..
So its kinda like there was a gigantic 'butterfly' light diffuser on the sky
=)

a good friend of mine, Rahadi Marsito was generous enough to cover this exciting day with his skillfully photo-documentation shots..!
